Our first adventure........

A few weeks ago my sister was looking for a dining room table and I saw an add on craigslist for a table that was a really good price.  So we decided to go look at it, my mom and my oldest daughter went with us on this our first adventure.  It was listed in a town which is about 20-30 minutes from our house, but we ended up on an old gravel road in an old warehouse, this we were not expecting. The owner of this store took us in the middle of the warehouse, winding our way through all of the junk, antiques.  I kept my cell phone in my hand the whole time so I could dial 911, of course they probably would have never found us, for all the junk antiques.  :) 

So while on our adventure I came across a bench.   I have been wanting a bench for awhile now so I grabbed it.  I also got some nice side tables that will be in another blog.









You can see that it doesn't have hardly any cushion at all, that is one thing that I wanted to change.  I unscrewed the top from the bench.  This is what it looked without the cushion.

This is the final results.  I added a piece of fabric that I had laying around the house, and I also added a piece of foam egg crate pad from my oldest daughters college twin bed.  Don't worry she isn't using it anymore, I didn't just take it off the bed or anything.  :)
