Last year I was looking at different fabrics to find a project to work on. (You know because I obviously don't have enough to do), when low and behold I saw her. The face that I have come to love, Maxine, the fabric is made by Robert Kaufman. Maxine must have a bigger following than I thought since she has her picture on fabric. When I bought the fabric there was only one print with her picture available and then some other prints with her sayings on it. I saw where there is some more added to the list now, so, I might have to make another quilt or maybe a tote bag.
With the fabric that I purchased, I was not really sure what I was going to do with it, then I decided to make a lap quilt for my office. I did not follow a pattern, I just made it up as I went along. Probably not the best plan but I thought it turned out fine. I just cut the blocks apart and then added white fabric to them, which made rows and then I attached the rows together and then quilted it with the fabric on back with some of Maxines sayings and then added some orange fabric for a binding. For not having a plan or pattern I am very happy with the results.
Hope you enjoyed my Maxine quilt.
